This 180’5” (55-meter) megayacht design was commissioned jointly by Hakvoort Shipyard and Moran Yacht & Ship She’s based on a fast-displacement hull design, a concept increasing in application in the yachting industry. As a reminder, a fast-displacement hull form is somewhat of a hybrid between a traditional displacement hull and a semi-displacement one. To that point, it’s fuel efficient at both slower cruising speeds and higher ones, rather than just one or the other.
